¡Autónomos! ¿Quieres cambiar de modalidad? ¡Corre que se acaba el tiempo!

Estamos ya a mitad de marzo y se acerca una fecha importante para los autónomos que quieran cambiar la base de su cotización. Este próximo 31 de marzo es la primera fecha límite para solicitar a la Seguridad Social el cambio de modalidad. La nueva Ley de Autónomos trae consigo como novedad que el trabajador autónomo pueda cambiar hasta 4 veces su base de cotización (dos más que hasta ahora). Con esta nueva medida se pretende mejorar las prestaciones del autónomo por baja por enfermedad o jubilación en función de si prevé recibir más ingresos o todo lo contrario.

Como hemos dicho en la introducción, la nueva Ley de Autónomos permitirá cambiar la base de cotización hasta cuatro veces al año. El día 31 de marzo termina el primer plazo para solicitar el cambio y tendrá fecha efectiva a partir del 1 de abril. El siguiente periodo para solicitar el cambio de cotización abarca desde el 1 de abril hasta el 30 de junio y será efectivo a partir del 1 de julio. El tercer plazo se podrá solicitar desde el 1 de julio hasta el 30 de septiembre, siendo efectivo el 1 de octubre. Por último, el cuarto plazo será tendrá lugar desde el 1 de octubre hasta el 31 de diciembre y empezará a ser efectivo el 1 de enero de 2019.

¿Cómo solicitar el cambio de cotización? 

La solicitud se puede hacer a través de la sede electrónica de la Seguridad Social. Como ya sabemos, con la entrada en vigor de la Ley 39/2015, de 1 de octubre, del Procedimiento Administrativo Común de las Administraciones Públicas, todos los trámites con las administraciones se harán principalmente por la sede electrónica.

A través del portal, podrás pedir que tu base de cotización aumente anualmente en el mismo porcentaje que se aumentan las bases máximas siempre que estés dado de alta en el Régimen Especial de Trabajadores Autónomos (RETA).

Podrás modificar tu base como desees y solicitar un justificante de la solicitud. El número de solicitudes no es restrictivo, y podrás realizar cuantas quieras, pero tendrás que tener en cuenta que la última petición que se haya realizado será la que sea efectiva en el plazo.
